YOUTH BOYS COACHING ANNOUnCEMENT

We are excited to announce Kervin Guttenbeil as Head Coach of the Youth Boys for 2025!

Kervin joins us with an impressive coaching background, having led the Saint Kentigern College 1st XI Boys for the past two seasons and continuing in this role for 2025.

His experience developing young athletes makes him a valuable asset to the Auckland University Hockey Club youth program.

Kervin is also a key player in the Auckland University Men’s Premier side since 2021 and was a member of the Auckland Men’s team at the 2024 National Hockey Championship (NHC).

Josh Child is joining Kervin on the coaching team as Assistant Coach.

Premier Women

Our 2025 pre-season training program is currently underway. Trainings are led by Colin Stewart on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Baradene turf. Check out our premier women tab for more info about pre-season training and our player development fund. All are welcome!

Colin Maiden Park

We are excited to confirm that construction has now begun at Colin Maiden Park! We are one step closer to the opening of our new home turf. While we are excited for the opportunity to move our club base to CMP, the turf won’t be ready for the start of the 2025 winter season, so our senior teams will continue training at various venues. Training times have been updated under the senior tab. If you have any questions, please get in touch.

Registration for Division trials can be found here. Please note a $40 deposit is required for division trials, which comes off player fees once selected.

ABOUT THE Club

Established in 1903, it was a founding club at the inauguration of the Auckland Hockey Association, and is one of the oldest clubs at the University of Auckland. While we are based at the University, we are open to all prospective members.

The Auckland University Hockey Club competes in Auckland Hockey competitions at senior, youth and junior level, with teams for all ages and abilities.
